“My son had no academic concerns in preschool. He knew all of his letters and sounds before kindergarten. Then, it just stopped. Despite having a qualified, devoted and loving kindergarten teacher, he couldn’t seem to move past words like cat. He grew to hate reading. A battle ensued every time I forced the issue. He started one on one tutoring near the end of his kindergarten year. We tried a few individuals and programs, including those he enjoyed, but he never made real progress.

We have seen improvement in reading skills but also his attitude toward reading, his approach toward problem solving and a growing confidence in his own abilities.
