A parent or guardian is required to attend each lesson with their child. If you feel your child would excel better without your presence in the tutoring room, then it can be arranged for you to sit in a waiting room nearby where you can hear and view the lesson from a short distance.
Parents are also asked to manage daily reading practice of the week’s assignments. The time that your child spends practicing reading will influence your child’s reading growth from week to week, and thus how quickly he or she progresses up the pathway tier. Homework is given each week, usually consisting of two to three short reading passages, one game, and a brief writing/handwriting activity.
